Dr. Emily McFadd
PhD, Board Certified, Speech-Language Pathology
I've spent my career helping people find their voice, literally. As a speech-language pathologist and co-founder of Sage NeuroCare, I have specialized in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for over 15 years, training at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and sharpening my clinical expertise at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where I partner with clients and their families navigating some of the most complex communication challenges out there.
I take the time to find a communication system that actually fits your specific world and stay by your side, through device programming, caregiver training, and collaboration with school teams as needed.

You will feel heard. My intention is to create a supportive and safe atmosphere. From there we create a treatment plan that works best for you. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
Having completed combined fellowships at the University of Southern California & LA General Hospital in Neurobehavior, Neuropsychiatry, and Movement Disorders, I am now volunteering my time in Children's Hospital Los Angeles neurodevelopment and SLP clinics to better understand these conditions. I have expertise in seeing children, teens, young adults, adults, and elders.
My other academic interests include teaching neurology in Cambodia, leading the Los Angeles Neurology Society, research on the benefit of diet on thinking, and on mindfulness with psychedelic-assisted therapy.
I also practice as a General Neurologist and am the Principal Investigator of various clinical trials in collaboration with Quantum Clinical Research in Pasadena, CA.
